We're Still Here

Hi again and apologies for not keeping things up to date.

Unfortunately since Gae arrived back from Australia we've been kept in check by the weather and haven't been able to do a lot.

As most of you have probably already heard Gae (and her luggage) arrived in Gillette at the expected time, cause to celebrate after some of our other mishaps. The flight wasn't without incident as her plane from Brisbane to LA was delayed 11 hours and she had to transfer to a flight out of Sydney so she could make the connection in Denver. The flight from Brisbane to Sydney was delayed so she had a very quick turn around there and then once in LA she sat on the tarmac for an hour and then in the customs queue for another hour meaning things were very close to get to Denver. That said, she made it and it was good to see her home.

On the weekend after she had arived home I had planned to go to the Black hills and stay over in Deadwood but the weather was terrible and we really didn't feel like tackling the interstate highway in those conditions so it ended up being a very quiet weekend. We did manage to get there this last weekend and unbeknowns to us it was Mardi Gras in Deadwood. A bit cold for G-Strings and bare chests so it wasn't much like Sydney but everyone was in a party mood and it was good fun.

On Monday we probably had the worse snow day we've had since we arrived here; it had snowed most of the night and into the day and conditions around town were prety dangerous. The interstate in and out of Gillette was closed in places and Gillette airport was closed most of the day. It's snowing again today but hopefully it will clear by the weekend.

This weekend we've decided to take a long weekend and go to San Diego and maybe Mexico so we should have some photos for our next publication. It will be nice to put our feet on the sand and have some warmer weather. We will update everyone when we get back.

Cheers
